The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced the commencement of its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise. Applications are open to suitably qualified candidates for positions in the Superintendent, Inspector, and Customs Assistant cadres. This recruitment exercise has been approved by the Federal Government to employ 3,927 customs officers to strengthen the workforce of the agency. Available vacancies include Customs Superintendent Cadre (CONSOLE 08) (applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, HND, or equivalent from a recognised university or polytechnic and an NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate), Customs Inspector Cadre (CONSOLE 06) (OND, NCE, or equivalent qualification), and Customs Assistant Cadre (CONSOLE 03/04) (Secondary School Certificate with at least five (5) credits, including English and Mathematics.

Nigeria Customs Service Requirements for All Applicants

To be eligible for any position, candidates must meet the following conditions:

  • Be a Nigerian citizen by birth.
  • Have completed primary education and obtained a First School Leaving Certificate.
  • Male applicants must be at least 1.7 metres tall, while females must measure at least 1.64 metres in height.
  • Be in good health and free from any physical or mental disabilities.
  • NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
  • No age requirement.
  • Must not have a criminal record.
  • Must not belong to any secret society or cult and must not be involved in drug-related activities.
  • Present a valid certificate of state or local government of origin.
  • Other acceptable qualifications include a Trade Test Certificate or proficiency certificates approved by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity.

Nigeria Customs Service Deadline
