The Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has announced the next phase of its teacher recruitment exercise for the 2024/2025 session. Successful candidates who received text messages are required to participate in a documentation exercise scheduled to begin on Monday, 6th January 2025, at the SUBEB Office in Ilorin.
Applicants are advised to bring all necessary documents to the venue to complete the process. The board has outlined specific conditions and requirements for the appointments, which must be strictly adhered to.
Kwara SUBEB Screening Requirements
The following conditions apply to the provisional appointments:
- All appointees must present a medical certificate issued by a government medical officer to certify their fitness for duty.
- I’mCandidates must confirm they have not been dismissed from any government or similar establishment in the past.
- Upon resumption of duty, successful applicants are required to submit the following:
- Two recent passport photographs.
- Original and photocopies of credentials, including a birth certificate or declaration of age, for verification.
- Each appointment will be subject to a two-year probation period. Confirmation of employment will depend on the employee’s conduct and performance during this period.
- The appointment may be terminated by either the board or the employee. This requires a written notice of one to three months or a corresponding payment in lieu of notice.
- Appointees must serve in their designated local government area for a minimum of five years. During this time, transfer requests will not be entertained. Candidates are also required to sign a bond as part of the documentation process.
- Successful applicants must register with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) and provide proof of registration within six months of the appointment.
- Candidates must submit a written acceptance letter within 30 days of receiving the offer. This letter must include an undertaking to abide by all rules and regulations governing the appointment. Any false information provided will lead to immediate disqualification.
